starts at 11 AM and Meals on Wheels is usually brought in at noon. A program
usually follows the meal or members stay and socialize, playing games of their
choice.

May 2011
The month of April turned out to be a busy as
well as an interesting month for us. We started with our monthly movie, “The
Blind Side” which was a hit.
Our next activity was a spinning demonstration
given by Heidi Cadwell. She brought her spinning wheel with her and showed us
how she produced beautiful yarn from sheep’s wool. We all enjoyed this
program. Heidi educated and entertained us.
Officer Tracy Dunn presented an excellent
lecture on senior safety at our next meeting. This covered both home safety and
drug safety. Officer Dunn also announced that on 30 April, from 10AM to 2PM,
there is a free drug “take back” program being held at the Hollis Police
Station. This is an opportunity to for everyone to dispose of any old or
unneeded medicines.
As a final note, we are getting ready to take a
”chocolate trip”. I believe just about all the seats are already taken, but you
can check in with Nancy at 603-465-7822 for any open seats. Looks like we have
a bunch of “chocolate lovers”!
And check out our web site for recent activity
photos.
The business meeting was held on 28 April 2011.
